Motor Legal Protector Plus has been developed to provide you with additional legal protection. Motor Legal Protector Plus is a low-cost insurance policy which safeguards you against the effects of uninsured losses as a result of an accident that wasn't your fault.
Unfortunately, your current motor insurance policy may not cover you for some additional losses you could incur, such as policy excess or medical expenses (even if the accident is not your own fault).
The policy is underwritten by UK General Insurance Ltd, one of the leading UK legal expenses providers.
Help is at hand from UK General Insurance Ltd who have a team of experienced claims specialists to help seek compensation for these losses. It is your legal right to pursue compensation from the guilty party and, with legal expenses insurance up to £100,000 per claim, you can do this without being out of pocket.
Motor Legal Protector Plus includes a number of benefits in addition to uninsured loss recovery:
If your car is immobilised immediately following a motor accident within the UK, Motor Legal Protector Plus will supply, subject to availability, a replacement vehicle for the period of up to 72 hours. This is providing always that the hire period commences within two working days of the date of the accident.
You will only be charged for fuel costs and the Collision Damage Waiver. Insurance will be provided subject to compliance with the rental company's insurance criteria, and that a full and valid driving licence has been held for at least 12 months.
*This optional extra is only valid for the period of motor insurance, even if taken out mid way through your policy and must be taken out to commence at the start of your renewal or if you change your vehicle. The 72 hour replacement vehicle is only available to drivers that are aged 21 years or over.
No refund of premium is allowable upon cancellation after the initial 14 day cooling-off period. These notes cannot cover all eventualities. For full details of policy cover, terms, conditions and exclusions, please refer to the policy wordings.
